Honesdale’s merchants will hold “Circus Sales Days” 52nd annual Sidewalk Sales on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, July 19, 20 & 21, sponsored by Wayne Bank, with support from Wayne County Tourism.
Historic Main Street will be filled with great merchandise offered by its fine local stores, area vendors and artists, and area non-profits. Shoppers and visitors will be greeted with a warm welcome by all.
You are invited to visit Honesdale; browse through the great variety of stores, learn about the wonderful local services, and dine at one of the many area restaurants and cafes. Honesdale has great shops on every block, so wear your walking shoes. For a full list, please go to visithonesdalepa.com under “Shop Honesdale”, or stop by one of the shops in Honesdale and pick our brochure, complete with a colorful map, list of events, and historic walking tour.
Honesdale’s shops also offer a large variety of other great products including clothing and footwear for young and old, electronics and appliances, health products, jewelry and bridal. Our merchants are famous for their knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful service, and many of them will be dressed in Circus attire. Don’t forget to visit one of our great restaurants or eateries, offering scrumptious food and fast, friendly service at very reasonable prices.
We invite you to visit the past and enjoy the great exhibits at the newly expanded and remodeled Wayne County Historical Society, located at 810 Main Street. The Museum will be open all three days from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Enjoy the Wayne County Farmers Market, on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., (located trackside in front of the Visitors Center, one block off of Main Street,) featuring many items made and grown locally.
Scooter rentals will be available all three days at Stephens Pharmacy/NE Med-Equip, located at 1101 Main Street (570-253-7700), for your shopping convenience. Full day rentals are available for $25.00 per day and hourly rentals begin at $15.00 for the first two hours with $5.00 for each additional hour up to $25.00.
And after you’ve shopped and explored until you’ve almost dropped, why not visit one of our great salons offering “Shop Till You Drop” Sidewalk Sales specials and pamper yourself

Contestants will be dressed as their favorite circus character and have their picture on posters throughout town, encouraging friends, fellow-employees, local residents and all our visitors to vote for them as the BEST Circus Side-Show!
Votes are $1.00 each and you may place as many votes per per contestant as you’d like!
All proceeds will go to help Honesdale Borough place “speed minders”
on Main & Church Streets for everyone’s safety!
